How it works

From “maybe later” to on the calendar.

Three steps. Ian does the looking.

  1. Tell Ian what fits

Your area, how much time you have, your budget, and what you enjoy.

  2. Pick a plan and save it

Ian suggests a few local ideas. Choose one and give it a spot on your calendar.

    Makers market wander

    6:00–9:00 PM · Free entry

  3. Get a friendly heads-up

A reminder before it starts, and some encouragement to follow through.

Market starts at 6. Grab an energy drink and go wander?

Say hello, then let’s go

Sometimes all it takes is a text from a friend.

A new spot to explore. An ordinary Thursday, made better.

Friday plans?
The local find
  1. Ian: Hey hey bud. There’s a new Friday Night Makers Market at the Riverbend Glasshouse. Local artists, live music, and dumplings. We should check it out.
  2. Ian: 6–9 pm, free entry. A wander after work, something good to eat, home whenever you feel like it. Sound like your kind of Friday?
  3. You: Okay, that actually sounds pretty great.
  4. Ian: Thought it might. A change of scenery goes a long way.

Something new, without the big production.

A quiet Thursday
The everyday idea
  1. Ian: How about a Thursday park walk with one of our favorite podcasts? Nothing ambitious. Just a good episode and some fresh air.
  2. You: I’ve only got about half an hour.
  3. Ian: Half an hour sounds just right. Comfy shoes, headphones, one loop. We can save the grand adventure for another day.
  4. You: Deal. Shoes on.

A good plan doesn’t have to be a big one.

Your friend, not your to-do list

Life’s better with something to look forward to.

There’s a whole world between another night on the couch and a grand adventure. Ian’s rooting for you. Ten minutes outside or a whole afternoon doing something new, you decide what a good day looks like.

No pressure. No guilt. Just possibilities.

A few things you might be wondering.

So, what is Your Friend Ian?

Your Friend Ian helps you get out of the house and find more things you actually want to do. Tell Ian what you enjoy, how much time you have, and your budget. He’ll suggest local outings and help turn “maybe later” into a plan. You don’t need a partner or a date to have something to look forward to. Less scrolling. More living.

Do I need social media?

Nope. You don’t need a social media account or have to connect one. Ian can suggest local outings, events, and groups based on your area and interests. You don’t have to know where to look or bring him a list. Already have a local group or page in mind? You can suggest it for Ian to follow, too. Ian’s team reviews suggestions and requests access where needed using a team-operated account. Group discovery is new, and what Ian can find and share depends on platform rules and group approval.

Is Ian trying to replace my friends?

Absolutely not. Ian’s here to help you make more room for life outside the house. That might mean making plans with friends, heading out on your own, or finding an event where you could meet a few new faces. You choose what feels right for you.

How does it work?

Tell Ian your area and what you enjoy. He’ll suggest things to do that fit your interests, available time, and budget. Pick an outing, save the plan to your calendar, and set a reminder so it doesn’t become another thing you meant to do. Local options vary by area and available listings. Check the latest hours, prices, and event details with the venue before heading out.

Is there a free version?

Yes! The free plan includes up to 10 plans every 30 days. Everyone starts with Premium free for at least 14 days. After that, you’ll move to the free plan unless you choose to upgrade. Your free Premium access won’t automatically turn into a paid subscription. Premium is $3.99 a month or $24.99 a year (US dollars) on the web.
